SUNDAY 17/05/09
Woke up and were told we’d be meeting a special guest coming in to meet with us and spend the day with. We met Elaine Daley – model, actress and host of Malaysian dream girls who came in introduced ourselves and told us we would be having a very girly day today so we were hoping that meant shopping. Elaine told us we would all be getting Brazilian waxes to prepare us for our bikini shoot the next day. Most of the girls were not ready for it and had never had one before so it was not something they were looking forward to. I have done waxing on myself before but have never had someone else do a Brazilian for me so the main thing I was worried about was that shyness of it all. We were taken to Honeypot where the waxing was going to be done and waited out turn. We went in pairs (separate rooms) and i was with Christabel. A camera was setup in the room to capture my reaction to the waxing and the makeup artist came into my room to watch as well so she’s officially seen more of me than she needed to. It was pretty bloody painful and there were times when I was thinking why the hell am i doing this but once it was all done and the pain had worn of it was a good feeling. Elaine told us that as a reward for having our waxing done and she took us to the Ripcurl store where we were told we could choose any bikini we wanted to keep! It definitely made the Brazilian worthwhile so we were all pretty chuffed with that.
After our shopping adventure we were taken to a pool where we got to wear our new Ripcurl bikinis. We had a chance to get to know Elaine more and ask all the questions we had about her career and the tips and tricks of the industry. Was a pretty chilled out night so we had dinner and had an early night for the super early start the next day.
